I finally found another Model 41 after several years search and want to make sure I have the proper procedure for disassembly. Can someone refresh my memory, the last one I had was more than 20 years ago, and I remember something like pulling the trigger guard down to slide the barrel off or the slide but am not sure. Remove mag - pull back slide and lock (slide stop) - pull down trigger guard (note hinge pin at front end) - lift bbl (may have to bump to break free) - pull back slide lifting up - when it moves up , slide forward to remove (remember it is under slide spring tension).
Slide must be locked back and trigger guard open before inserting bbl lug.
