Mod 41 question

A question for those who have one; Curious minds want to know. On an older long (7" - 7 1/4" ) Model 41; How is the rear sight attached? It just struck me curious one day that there appears to be only an open groove in the slide for the front pivot and some sort of retaining clip that holds the pivot pin in place? From the schematics I see that there is a groove at the rear for an elevation post similar to the rear of an adjustable revolver sight. I can for the life of me figure out from the photos / Schematics how the rear sight is retailed at the front (pivot) end.

My 41 is a 5.5" with the Mod 52 rear sight so; different.

I think there are different rear sights, depending on model year, not sure but should be many M41 experts to reply. Mine is a 1985 vintage, 7" barrel, here's a few shots of my rear sight from a couple of angles. Looks like there is a small tab from the barrel assembly that the sight is pinned to in front, and maybe it's secured from underneath. I've never had the sight off my pistol and haven't really looked at how it attaches when I have the gun disassembled to clean it.

That's the one.

It appears that the tab (Rear Sight Pivot Clip (For 7" Barrels) is what holds it in place at the front and holds the pin in. I assume spring tension from the elevation screw spring forces the front of the sight down holding the pivot clip in place.
