Mod.41 w/ target weights

]Did S&W ever box up a set as a "package" ?
I am being told this box never happened at S&W.

Although with S&W "Never say Never" , collecting since about 1963, never saw an S&W 41 box with these "Adds". Also adds cutouts look "home made". You have one of the last 41s with CI. Weight sets dropped by S&W well before this pistol was made.. If bottom of the bottom weight has 4 holes - long before pistol built.

Tom, Thanks for the information. I'll have to drag it from the safe and have a closer look.
Can you put a value on it as it is? It appears unfired - as new.
The box does have the correct ser.#
Its actually a very nice package. (even though the weights didnt come like this) . I have too many of these pistols.

I would put a sales figure of around $1200.00 to maybe as high as $1400.00 with all of those parts with it. Looks like a 7-3/8" barrel to me which definitely makes it a older pistol. I suspect Thom is correct on the box tho with the extra attachment holes having been added.
