Mod 41

Recently a friend of mine bought a mod 41 at auction It was described as Stainless Steel. Did S&W ever make the 42 in stainless?
Sorry for the dupe, I did not think my registration went thru the first time.

EXTREMELY unlikely it's SS. More likely that it's been hard chromed.
