Help Identify My Gun

I bought my first revolver at an auction recently. Although I do not think this revolver is anything special I am having a hard time finding ones similar to it online.

Model 686-6
Barrel: 5inch (not full underlug)
Finish: stainless

I do have the serial numbers but I figured it wouldn't be needed for this particular question

It came in the original box with the papers and test fire casing.

And to clarify I know the 686-6 is common but when I look online the only options I find are full underlug unless it is the "mountain" variant but that ones comes with a 4inch barrel not 5inch.

Still sending this image for completeness sake. Thank you very much for helping me out. It amazes me how despite the power of the internet discontinued firearm info can be lost without forums like this.

Now with this info I can get to looking for a decent lefthand holster for hiking.
