I am Having a hard time taking my My 41 apart for cleaning
any suggestions

Pull down on the front of the trigger guard. Lift off barrel.

What exactly is the hard part? All you need do is pull down the trigger guard, (use your middle finger inside the guard and push with your thumb) remove the barrel then pull the slide rearward and up, then slowly release forward and it will come off. That's it for field stripping. Assemble in reverse order.

The only issue I can think of is that the trigger guard is VERY tight - other than that - you're spot on!

I second that! I was afraid I was going to break my trigger guard but it finally moved.

Depending how they were fit/not fit at the factory means a lot with the 41 takedown.
