With the exception of grip size are there any other structural differences between a ladysmith and standard version of the same revolver?

No, only the finish, stock material and markings. I have handled several K frame Lady Smiths (model 65s) and I think the actions have felt lighter and smoother than standard but have found no difference between the J frame versions and a standard one.

I had a Lady Smith mod 60 - 357 mag with 3" bbl. murphydog is correct, however IMO the trigger IS smoother on this model. It had the best trigger of the over 8 S&W guns I have owned over the years.

If I was to get another revolver it would be a Lady Smith HANDS down. I really miss mine.

Be SAFE and shoot often!

Lady Smith Barrel Length

Does anyone know what the actual Barrel length of a Model 60 Lady Smith 357 Mag with a 3 inch barrel is i.e. 2 & 1/8 inch?

Here's a Model 60-9 with a 2⅛" barrel in .357 Magnum. It was the first Lady Smith built on the J-Magnum frame, ca. '96. I don't recall seeing a Model 60 LS in .357 with a 3" barrel, but I don't watch them too closely so could easily be mistaken. The grips are known as laminated rosewood. I believe these grips are still offered on the contemporary versions of the Model 60-umpteen LS with the internal lock.

The third and fourth photos are a Model 60-3 LS with a 3" barrel in .38 Special from 1989. The grips on this one are unique to the 60-3 and 36-3 Lady Smith (also in 3"), and the company literature says the grips were anatomically designed to fit a lady's hand. The company also made 60-2 and 36-2 LS (last photo) that year with a 1⅞" barrel (they called it a 2"), and the grips were laminated rosewood magnas.
