New guy here. This is a great forum.Anyway,I put about a hundred rounds through a recently purchased mod. 645 in excellent condition.About half way through I noticed the barrel bushing had moved forward slightly, about enough to get my fingernail between bushing and slide.I dont know if this is something to be concerned about or not. After the initial movement it seemed to stop.It appears to be pressed into the slide and I'm not sure how to tighten it.Other than that it ran like a top. Thanks JT

The bushings are pressed in, are you sure that's not where it was to start with? If it did walk out you should be able to press it right back in, but that means it's loose and should probably go back to S&W for replacement.

Thanks for the reply.I cant say that it was'nt completely seated when I received the pistol.I did get the bushing pushed all the way in,which wasnt easy,so next time out at the range I'll be keeping a close eye on it. Thanks again.JT
