thinking about purchasing this weapon from the family of a friend who passed away last year. Sn# is BPB7007, 2 1/2 " BARREL WOOD GRIPS ROUND BUTT W/ TYLER T, weapon is in excellent shape (kept between sheets in linen closet.) no one ever recalls it ever being fired, and there is no noticeable turn line on cylinder. Nobody knows where box is !! Gun was purchased they think in early 90's . We have decided to let this forum set a fair price on weapon. We are trying to be objective and keep sentiments out of the equation. We decided to accept the suggested prices given here as the fairest prices to start with, thanks - also could you verify date

That would be a $700 gun in a store here. Family/friend price (for me) would be 500-550.

I watched a 66-2 2 1/2" barrel very good condition sell for $650 at a local auction recently.

If I was in your shoes: $600.00

Bought my 3" 66-3 in 1988/89.............. $270 OTD

Lots of 66s out there as they were a very popular Police and Civilian guns in the 80s/90s...... they just don't change hands often. W/out the box and docs.....collectible somewhat; but not a find.

If you could find one of those in a LGS around here..... my WAG is it would be listed around $700-750 to test the waters......if it sat for too long.... sale price would drop to $600-650.

Friends and family pricing..... $550

Good luck

Thanks the pricing sounds fair to me and I hope to them also- . Can you help with date? late 80's or early 90's

The BPB prefix was in common current use for new revolvers during....
February - June 1993.
Most likely in February or March. A 2 1/2-inch gun would of had a product code of 102703 if it had a White Outline rear sight blade. 102702 if the rear blade was solid black.

Here's what your box label would of looked like.
