Just got this off of layaway. It has some wear to it, but no abuse. Complete with the stainless steel rear sight. I'm pretty happy about this one, it'll make a good shooter. :D

Edit, title should be 66 not 19.

Nice pair! I'd be happy too! ;)
Gotta love them Smith's!

Thanks for the picture - lots od Combat Magnum Fans here.
Your sight is pretty valuable if truely SS as it would have come off a early model 66 or 67. I wonder if the hammer and trigger came off the same model 66 or 67.
Do you know the history of the gun?
Does it have a "N" stamped on the left grip frame or under the extractor on the cylinder?

I screwed up the thread title. It should be 66 no dash.:o

I got it corrected, thanks rags24!

Great gun. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? Am in the market and don't want to get "taken".

Thanks,

John

$475, not a great deal but, I don't feel like I got burned either. When I saw the stainless rear sight I knew I had to have it. Good luck with your search!

WOW! That's a good deal. I've only found a couple south of $700; one is a no-dash with original box but rubber grips for $695. The other is a no-dash with rubber grips and a modified rear sight blade for $525.

If anyone comes across one for $600 or less please let me know!!!

Maybe I did better than I thought. 19's and 66's are usually priced $500-500 around here. Up to $650 for pristine examples with box and papers.
