Anybody have any opinion here or ran both ? Obviously the M&P has come along way, especially with all the after market mods.

The newest versions of the HK HK45 and P30 9mm, with the various factory trigger and safety configurations with the light LEM trigger , especially the light version have become popular. It seems many run these sucessfully with there various factory options out of the box. With the reconfigured grips and optional back and side grip panels very versital.

Any comparisons ? Obviously the HK is more expensive, but some feel deservedly.

You're comparing top grade guns, so it probably comes down to your intended purpose and personal taste.

For IDPA SSP and USPSA Production, I prefer the M&P Pro (superior ergonomics), which has become second in numbers to the Glock. The XD is also very popular in USPSA Production.
For whatever reason, I don't see many H&K in the hands of US Competitors, but that may just be cost and sponsorship.

I carry a P30L 9mm for Off duty armed security gig and use it w/ pretty good success in IDPA. With the back and side panels I think it the most comfortable handgun I have shot/held. That being said I have shot M&P's as well. I like them as well. They really fit in the hand too. Try one out. Great guns.
