I bought one from Buds Guns about a year and a half ago. My question is this.
I'm enrolling in a gunsmith program at an area Vocational College. If I use this firearm as a rehab project during my courses I will void the warranty.
Would you do it? or would you just keep it as is and leave well enough alone.

Warranty? Are you kidding? YOU are gonna be the smithy that takes care of it. I'm confident, (and you should be too), that with a little guidence, patience, and practice, that model 10 is going to get the best care it can possibly get. Go for it!

no from S&W if I ever needed them to look at it they could say it was not factory original. I realize now this is a Dumb reason to not work on it in school. It's not a collector and its pretty holster worn so why worry about it? I paid less than $300.00 for it so its a good investment to use for learning.
