I pocket carry a 642 during the summer and switch to a 60 IWB once it's cool enough for a light jacket or hoodie...

I have both, also an all steel Bodyguard, a couple of D Specials and an LCR. The model 10 is the most enjoyable to shoot, because of the weight, and I shoot better with it than the others.
If I was a big guy it would be my normal carry piece. That not being the case, I normally carry either the 36 (w. bobbed hammer) or the LCR. I prefer all-steel guns and the Chief is about as light and concealable as you can go there. Of course the LCR is the easiest to carry. From your criteria it sounds like a 12 snubby would be the way to go. I know I'd love to have one.
