model 10-5

Bought a model 10-5 at the gun library yesterday. It has heavy muzzle and cylinder wear, but the gun is tight and clean inside. serial #D309696 and on the barrel above the extractor rod is IAC Billaroo MA ( I think, I had to borrow some cheaters to see the lettering).
Any one with the standard catalog available able to give me a date of manufacture?
And would it be a sacrilege to nickel plate it ?
I already have a 5 screw/pinned pre model 10, so it's not like this one is a collector piece.

Looks like a 1970 shipped gun. The factory or some reputable outside businesses (like Ford's) would be happy to nickel plate it for you. Hope this is helpful.
