Co-worker asked me to look at their 10-6. Cylinder was hard to open. Took it apart, to include side plate. Everything was fine. Tightened the ejector rod a little. Put side plate on. Tried to put cylinder back on. It closes about 90% and that's it. Looked and can't see where it's stuck. Can see light in all the right places.

What have I done wrong?

First thing is to swap position of the two round-headed sideplate screws.

Second is to clean underneath the extractor, probably with a toothbrush.

Edit: Actually, of course, you should probably do the "First thing" second, and the "Second" first. The above is just the order in which they occurred to me.
