Hey folks, just a quick question or two for an old student of the gun? I just got my model 10-9 from J&G and have it soaking in ATF to help get some gunk out and work on the little bit of surface rust. I noticed the ejector rod was loose, and turned very easily. Looking at the face of the cylinder, the ejector turned to the right to loosen. I would take it this is a left hand thread?
I ask because I'm going to have a barrel cut down to 2 3/4-3" and this revolver had a two inch barrel so I need a longer ejector rod. I've seen some labeled as "Left hand" or "Right hand" thread. Wasn't sure which way they're looking at the cylinder when describing thread direction. Anyway, thanks in advance, you guys have been great.

Yes, a model 10-9 will have a left-hand thread on the extractor rod, the direction in which it tightens. Messes up the saying "righty-tighty, lefty loosey". ;)

Thanks, that's what I thought. Just wasn't sure which way they were orienting the cylinder.

Please don't forget the before and after pictures when you are done. I'm glad you got your answer so quickly, good luck...
