It's still soaking but I've taken it out a few times and rubbed with some copper wool. Trigger seems to be mostly rust free. Hammer too. Sideplate not a lot of difference from when it went in. I'm taking it out on Sunday and putting it all back together. That will make 11 days in the ATF. Not worried about any cosmetic issues left. It will look better than it did and for $217 I can't complain. I have a Model 10 from the same era that I had refinished so I never holster it. THis one won't get babied.
I was surprised that the stock serial number match the serial number of the gun.
Here are the pics. Looks much better than it did. Much better at tearing them down now. I got that gunsmith master rebound slide tool and it went in so easily.
