Very nice.

IMHO, the M13 outshines the much-vaunted M19 when put to the use for which they were designed.

Thats a really beautiful model 13! Congrats!

Another perfect example of everything you need, and nothing you don't! Enjoy that 13! Regards 18DAI.

Thanks all.

I don't mind. With taxes, it cost me $530 and change. Don't know if I paid too much or not. I just couldn't leave the shop with out it.

My wife's 13-1 with Ahrends maple grips:

A good M-13 costs more than a 19 in my area. It was a number of years before we found one we could afford - and that was after buying three Model 19s!

IMHO, $530 is a very good deal for your gun. Actually, I think you stole it! You have the original box, grips, the whole nine yards! I'm so jealous.

WVfishguy,

Thanks. Your wife has a fine looking Smith as well. It looks to be in real good conidition, too.

Will never ever get rid of mine. Bought mine in 77'. Lot of bang for bucks back then.

These revolvers are what Smith and Wesson's reputation was built on, I think.

Wow! That's a really clean example of a Model 13. Even though the 3-inch versions are very popular now, that 4-inch barrel looks pretty good from where I sit.

As an aside to anyone who knows ... did they often leave off the engineering change on the box label?

Thanks,

Jerry

A local dealer - my best S&W connection - told me TODAY he has a Model 13 in pawn, ready to be sold next week.

I can't wait - you can't have too many 13s.

Hello Jackie. I know what you mean. Not being able to walk away from a perfect Smith ,with box and all.
But , now you're screwed. Unless you just collect. Are you going to shoot it?
I have a 3" 13-2 that has been fired little if at all ,and I will
not shoot it.
It just sits in the safe and glares at me every time I pull it
out and fondle it.
These K-magnums just beg to be shot.
I also paid $500. for mine ,and don't regret it.

Good luck with yours.
