Model 14 year

Going to be Looking at a model 14 in nice condition, don't know dash#,
seller gave me first 4 digits of SN 4946 so I assume its K4946XX or 49K46XX

K4946XX = 1962, so that would be a Model 14-2.

49K46XX = 1979, so that would be a Model 14-4.

Thanks Jack. Looks like a nice shooter grade in the pics I've seen. Appears to have a wide target trigger and minimal use. Looking at the side plate I'd say original blue. I may see it this week.

49K46XX = 1979, so that would be a Model 14-4.

Model 14's are normally a decent deal in today's market. Prices have not gone crazy like many other Smiths. They are 1 good shooting revolver. To me, they look & feel great! I have a 14-3, that I gave a hair over $400 for. 1 of my favorites. Bob
