Came across a 15-3 with 2" barrel today. Blued (about 95% with usual rub at muzzle), stocks numbered to revolver, no box / tools.

SCSW 4th edition indicates 20% premium for 2". I already have a 4" - 15-3 and this would make a nice addition to the collection. I am considering making a trade on this piece with a rifle I don't have a need for.

What would be a fair price?

Thanks!

I am no expert, but would guess $500-$600. If you are into the rifle right, that could be a big plus. Let us know how you make out. Wish I had a 15 snub! Bob

Having had several Combat Masterpiece revolvers over the years, I always thought I would like to add a 2" to the lineup. Several months back, my local FFL friend was traveling in the South. In Georgia (I think), he came across a snub Model 15-3 (95% or better) and called me to ask if I wanted it. I gave him the green light, so he picked it up and had it shipped to his shop. When he got home, I bought it. I can't remember the exact price but it was less than $500. I am happy!

I think you should avail yourself of this opportunity. I doubt you will be sorry.

$600 is in the high end of the range. $500 would get me interested.

On the other end of the spectrum, to replace a nickel Model 15 2" that was stolen from me some years back I bought a LNIB Model 15 2" blue from a Forum member a couple of years ago and paid him $650.00 for it. It's been fired since then, of course. :)

4" 15s in my area are going for around 5 bills, when you can find them. Two years ago you could pick up a good police trade in for 350. I think the 20% premium is probably pretty close.
