Model 17-5

Hi all,
New to the forum. Bought my first S&W at a gun show last month, above with 6" barrel. I would call it very good condition, not the original grips.
Am looking for a field holster, leather, probably thumb snap,cover the trigger guard type.
I have read that the 17 is a "K" frame type. So any holster made for a K frame, 6" barrel should fit?

Welcome to the forum. Model 17s are wonderful guns and yes they are K frames, so a holster for a 6" K will work.
