We enjoyed North Georgia so much this summer we brought my Mother and Mother in Law back. Went back into the same hardware store I bought my K-38 Masterpiece from this summer. The 18-4 they had then was still there. He came off the price enough that it is on the way to Mississippi. No box or papers but I buy them to shoot. Other than a turn line I couldn’t find anything wrong with it . Turn line doesn’t bother me because if it didn’t have one when I got it it would have one shortly. My wife is going to get a cc so this should be excellent for her to learn with. Thanks for looking!
Well my Model 18 finally made it to Mississippi this morning. Brought it home and took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. Everything looked good on the inside. A little dried oil but that was about it. I put one load through it. Ventilated some 16 ounce soda bottles. Double action trigger was smooth but heavy. Am I correct in assuming this is the norm for S&W rim fire revolvers? My only other rimfire revolver is an H&R. It’s double action pull is monumental. Think I will enjoy my new baby immensely!
Excellent model 18-4 I have its older sibling the only difference is mine has the target trigger, hammer, and a pin in the barrel. However I prefer the standard trigger to the targe on my 18-4.. I think you will enjoy it, they are excellent 22’s.
