Model 19 / / 2" barrel - $$ ??

I am uncertain if this is a pre-1980 gun or not but all I found was tiniest reference to a 2" M19 in the SWSC and that was last night, and I was sleepy, so I don't recall if a year of manufacture was given. Definitely, however, there was a reference to a 2" Model 19. The reference said ".38 Special caliber". Fascinating.

So, this particular revolver is actually beyond repair according to S&W. However, that turned out to not be true. The crane had to be cut, however, and the gun is being rebuilt. When it's done the gun will be a special treasure.

And what will it be worth? Any ideas?

Hi Yoda, SCSW says 19-3, pre-67, 2" barrel with non-shrouded rod... Do you have pictures?

Pre-67! Oh, well, I couldn't recall. I did recall the non-shrouded ejector rod.

No photos - yet. Gun is being worked on as we write these words.
