Hi there!

I am a new owner of a mint Model 19-3 6" barrel .357. I am interested in replacing the factory wooden target grips(I think thats what they are refered to). The grips actually fit quite nice but I would like to change them to something with indiviual finger recesses. The gun will only be used for target practice. I have very large hands (9" from base of palm to tip of middle finger) and as so would like to get yalls feedback on some "larger" grips.

Badger makes some grips that I think look good:
Custom Smith & Wesson K Frame Square Pistol Grip

How about these Hogues?
K or L Sq. Butt Lamo Camo Big Butt [10424] - $94.46 : Hogue Inc., The Best Value In Handgun Grips, Rifle Stocks and Accessories - Bar None!

Can anyone vouch for either of these grips being for large hands?

Would the Hogues be better for target shooting?

Thanks for your help guys and gals!

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Hogues. I like the looks of the Badgers but have never felt them. My personal, all time favorites, Ahrends Retro Combat. I love the look and they fit me great.

I love the look of vintage stocks. I put a set of Herrett's Shooting Stars on my 19-4, and I like them better than the original targets.

I love the Hogue's....love em.....and for the $20.00 or so they cost its a no brainer.....

I'd agree with the Shooting Stars. Especially with the skip line checkering. Great feeling and unique looks.

First a question to the OP, are they for sure targets or possibly service / magna grips? Is the front and bottom of grip frame visible with grips on? Pictures would help if your not sure.

I love the Ahrends Retro Combats and Retro targets, I have them on several guns. But, as the OP stated he has large hands. The Ahrends are a little smaller than factory targets and if the factory targets are small to you the Ahrends definitely will be.

Let us know.

Take a look at Jordan Trooper Stocks that Herretts makes. Bill Jordan, the originator, had huge hands and these were his favorites. Send Herretts a tracing of your hand and they will make them to fit you.
