Just picked up a very nice Model 19-4 at a local show yesterday. serial number 59K00XX. It has a blue finish with a 6 inch pinned barrel and receased cylinders. No scratches, Blueing looks 100%. I caan't wait to shoot her this week end. Can someone tell me aprox. when it was made. The dealer said 1977. I paid $500.00 for her.

The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson shows that serial numbers:57K0001 through 91K6800 were shipped in 1980. A P&R M19 at near 100%, you did just fine. Enjoy it, the M19's are great. Did I mention we like to see pics?
