Model 19-4

Anyone have a Model 19-4 w/ 2 1/2" barrel :
what accuracy do you get at 25 yards ?

My accuracy is about 3+", but someone with better eye's and trigger finger may be able to do better.

The barrel length has remarkably little to do with accuracy, it's the sight radius that makes the difference.

The sight radius does limit its accuracy, and I do have a nice revolver with 4 inch barrel, but this is the one that feels just right. Maybe that also helps accuracy.

group at 25 yards

my over 50 eyes with a stubby 19-4 are a tad under 3 inches

thats 10% skill and 90%attitude--when I see the design and finish of my 19-4 snubby it just makes my groups look better and tighter

now the 19-4 or 19-3 in four inch barrel I could tell some tall tales about how tight those groups are

I have one. I've shot it at 25 yds and I think a 3" group is doable. Probably my favorite revolver and I have 4 other Smiths. Bought it from someone on this forum but I can't remember who it was.

Model 19 with a 6" barrel is a 50 yd gun.
