I just recently picked up a blue model 19-8 .357 4" barrel that is "unfired" in the box with original papers. It came from an estate. It was manufactured in January 1999 according to my call to S&W and has the floating firing pin.

Are there any issues about this gun that I need to be aware of? Good or bad.

Thanks

Yes, those were all recalled. I will save you the trouble of sending it back. Just send it over to me, and I will take care of it!

Seriously - great find. No issues I have heard of other than the standard K frame situation: Fire mostly 38s, use magnums occasionally for familiarization, etc., and that excellent gun will last your life and that of your kids.

Congratulations!

Thanks for the reply, Shawn.

I am new to S&W .357 revolvers. I was originally looking for a Ruger GP100 when I came across this gun. I really liked the looks and feel of it so I bought it. Probably should have researched it first but there were two other guys eyeing it and I had to act or lose it.
