I bought surplus cut barrels and cylinders for Smith & Wesson desk sets when they were discontinued. I wondered what I should do with them. I had sold a number of them a gunshows. One night my wife Louise said I should nail them on the posts and hang stuff off them.
I have 107 Model 19 4 inch barrels and 5 Model 29 6 inch barrels nailed on posts and moulding. Here are a few pictures. I have stock blanks from the woodroom, I'll use the cylinders to make pencil holders.

Don, if you ever sell those pencil holders I will take one. I would love it for my gun bench.

I would also like a pencil holder if they are available.
Nice display.

Struth you have some cool stuff.
Lots of cool stuff.
Not just the barrels, the mugs, prints, patches, pins and other stuff just in these pictures.
You must make a lot of collectors very envious. I know I am.
I can see some truth on other posts regarding you and a certain dumpster.
Keep posting these odd and exiting items as most of us never see them let alone own one where you have boxes of them.
Cheers.

p.s what is that framed item in the reflection of the hands off print?

This is the picture you saw in the reflection in HANDS OFF.
It is an original steel engraving print of D B Wesson. It is one of fifty copies made. I received it as a present on my 50th birthday.
