Model 19 Target Trigger and Hammer replacement

Changing the hammer and trigger is an easy project if you are aware of the interior of a S&W revolver. The parts normally do not require any fitting ( use the original hand) and the interior lock work is amazingly simple in operation. Surely there is a video that will walk the novice through disassembly .

I've got three 19-3's with TH TT. 2 1/2" and 4" have RR front and WI rear with correct stocks. The 6" is blue without RR WI sights. I carried the 6" on duty for a couple of years. sold it to my brother and got it back almost 40 years later. It ain't going anywhere this time. I can shoot 6" groups from a rest at 100 yards with that gun. All have smooth action jobs.

I have a Target Hammer and Target Trigger for my Model 66 in S/S. As soon as my local gunsmith is back open, I will be swapping them out for the standard hammer and trigger and will have a set of S/S standard ones available. But don't you want Heat Treated finished ones for the 19?
