i am looking at a six inch barrel model 19 made in the early 90's. i cannot tell if it is a round or square butt as it has rubber grips on it. did they make a round butt six gun in that era?

I've never seen one. Do the grips cover the back strap?

I'm pretty sure a six inch barreled gun would be a square butt.
