Model 19

A 19-4 4" .357 mag was the first Smith I ever purchased. Absolutely the the most comfortable feeling and accurate shooting pistol I ever held. Will always be one of my favorites and hold a fond place in my heart.

I am a sheriff's deputy and I carry a model 19-2. I also carry a Glock sometimes. My qualification scores are usually a little higher with the Smith because I can utilize single action at longer distances where you have a little extra time to take the shot. The Smith model 19 is as fine a sidearm as any I have carried over the past 18 years of my career. It points well, shoots accurately, is not too heavy, and with a little practice can be reloaded as quickly as any semi auto

The first hand gun I bought was a model 19 with a 4 inch barrel, that was back in the 70's and I still have it. I will never part with it until I pass it along to my son when I take the big dirt nap.
