I finally got around to fully disassembling my 1902 1st change to clean and lube. I found all three pivot pin nuts loose. As a retired Mercedes mechanic I have an inordinate collection of tools but no pin wrenches that small. I can always grind down some excess 1/4" drive deep sockets to make them, but I'm looking for any other ideas. I have dozens of needle nose pliers but would rather not!

Hard to tell w/o pictures (I'll have to look through my manuals), but would snap ring pliers work?

They are not nuts, what you see are actually integral collars which are part of the studs. What I would suggest is removing the studs, cleaning the threads, and applying Loc-Tite Sleeve Mount. Screw them in as tight as you can and use a small punch at an angle to tighten them until snug. Just don't strike hard enough to cause large burrs on the edges of the slots. Slight burrs don't hurt as generally the collar is not a bearing surface. The only way this would not be a permanent repair is if the gun were to be hot blued at some later date, and possibly even then!
