My daughter is cleaning out her mother's house and moving her mother in with her. She has asked me about two hand guns she has found that presumably were owned originally by her late step-father. From the photos she sent to me, the autoloader is a Model 1913 (Or Model 35, if you prefer). It is 35 caliber but from the photos I cannot distinguish the serial number, but from the inscription on the barrel it was produce in 1913 to 1915. It's in pretty good condition from the photos, comes in a holster that also looks to be in good condition. I'm going to get serial numbers from her, but I thought I ask what the opinion of potential value for this piece is. She and her siblings are undecided as to sell both guns or throw them into a vat of concrete. My daughter has potential interest, but for the most part, neither she nor any of her other siblings are gun people.

It depends on its mechanical and finish condition. This one is out of my area but in my observations, average used condition but in good working order would probably be $350-400 minimum. You may want to ask them first if they'll take the four hundred dollar bills and throw those in the concrete vat instead of the gun ;).

I'm also curious about what type of ammunition this could fire as I am not aware that 35 caliber ammo is even being made.
