Model 23 .38-44 value

A model 23 is just a 38/44 outdoorsman that was given a model number in 1960 appx

And the 38/44 heavy duty became the model 20

A big congratulations on an outstanding find! Interestingly, my Mod 23 was priced at the LGS very similarly almost seven years ago.
I’m hoping you’ll be bringing it to the symposium in June! If so, we can have two known specimens to display…
Congrats again!

Thanks !
Sounds like a plan!
If I recall correctly, you had referenced your 23 some time ago here on forum. I even think I had asked you a question or two about it. And since then I’ve been on the lookout. 😁

Yesterday I pulled out mchom’s Mod-23’s older brother for a quick photo op… as you can see, mine has a Partridge front sight along with TH/TT.

I think it’s actually very cool to see another model marked 23 out there in the wild. But it took nearly seven years, there’s got to more out there! Check those Outdoorsman guys!

Arrived safely
Stocks numbered correctly
A few small spots of blue loss over logo and on barrel near muzzle. Not pitting or anything you can feel. Previous owner used a little white fill.
Considering its scarcity I am super pleased with condition.

The muzzle on the right side looks smudged but that’s just a little oil on top of slight blue loss.

Will that white fill come out? I was to nervous to do anything other than wipe it down with a silicon gun cloth as I didn't wanna screw up the finish
