model 25-2 John Jovino

Got my letter back today. Mine was shipped to Jovino July 21, 1983 (N 900624). Mr.Jenks varies the last sentence of his letters. On mine he said " It was modified by the Jovino Company to its current configuration. " Sometimes he just states it was modified after shipped from the factory, but doesn't really commit to saying it was done by Jovino. I'm happy my gun can be tied to Jovino!

yeah & it wasn't me. was in the running until a couple hours before closing but couldn't bring myself to pay that. oh well, half the funs in the hunt.

The Jovino and other like conversions have been going up in value. I regularly see them sold over $1500 and up over $3k for really scarce variants.

Good luck in your search.

Which variants are scarce? 45 Colt?

686 & 629 Effector models. There are a small number of 25-5 .45 Colts and model 57 conversions out there as well. Any Jovino LNIB with factory letter hardly come up for sale. Generally all you see are used guns with no box or letter such as the gunbroker listing.

The recent Gunbroker listing did have a letter. Thank you for the other information!
