I have been looking for a Model 25, preferably a Model 25-2. I have found that the Model 25 in .45 LC is either very expensive or not available. I am looking for something to take to the range and enjoy shooting, so I started looking at the newer Model 25 Classics line. Maybe newer is the way to go.
Last weekend at a local gun show I picked up several large frame S&W revolvers of various types. They all seem to have a long oval grip as opposed to the older style of N frame guns. I really like the older guns, but I really don't want to pay the crazy prices auctions and gun show vendors are asking. What are the Pros and Cons of the newer production Model 25? If this has been hashed out before, please excuse my newness to this site.
