Hello everyone..

My local pawn shop has a Model 27-2 in original presentation wood case with all original paperwork Any idea in which year these were made? I would give it about an 80-85%; any ballpark on value?

Thanks!!

Not really enough info. The Model 27-2 was made from approximately 1961-1981. As a general rule of thumb, the older, the more desireable. If you can provide such things as a serial number, bbl length or good photos (the best choice),you might get a better response. Without the aforementioned info, all you can expect is a WAG that will really be of little value to you.

IIRC the 5" barrel was the least common and the 3.5" is the most desirable.

The 4" ones are pretty scarce. They only made it for the last few years before the dash 3 came out.
I have one that is perfect. Only paid $300 for it. Had no idea how scarce they are until I joined the Forum.

Pictures are worth a thousand words when it comes to pricing. I've seen 27-2's go from around $600 to well over $1500 depending on barrel length and condition and how many quality pictures the seller posted on Gunbroker.
