Model 27-3 Hammer

I recently purchased a Model 27-3 that had the hammer bobbed. I would like to install a new hammer. I can take the gun apart and get it back together again but that is about the limit of my ability. Can someone like me just buy a new hammer and install it? Is there something I need to look out for? I tried to do a search but didn't come up with anything worthwhile so you input is appreciated.

If you can take it apart your half way there.
Make sure you take the DA sear off your old hammer and put it in the new one,Otherwise you will have to fit it to the new hammer.Put it back together and check for function in both SA and DA.Let us know if you get stuck
