model 27 value

I know of a model 27 in 5" barrel, I rate 90% +, priced in the $650 range, are they there now?

Model 27

The price sounds good for a 5" model 27, but condition is the controlling factor. Serial number is also an important factor ( S prefix on the serial number) is a plus. Five inch models are sought after by collectors and shooters alike. A (no dash) model 27 is more valued than a -2. Photos would really help with a value judgment. Hope this helps a bit.

Is it blued or nickel ? If it's nickel in that condition I'd jump on it. Blued in that condition isn't far off the mark--at least in my neck of the woods.

Good condition 5" 27-2's go for about $800-$850 out here. They usually last a day or so on the shelf at that price. In a presentation case with tools, add $50-$100.
