I have a model 28-2 ser# n5831xx. 4" pinned barrel. can s/o give me an idea of its year of manufacture.
thanks in advance. also, does anyone have a good source for a nice case for my wife's new model 36 that she's getting for Christmas?

I'd guess approx 1978 on your Highway Patrolman.
