I've been daydreaming about this gun for a while. Picture your typical Model 28 finish; brushed blue with sandblasted top strap and under side, but with the following major differences:

1) A round butt, ala the Lew Horton Limited Editions (24-3, 624, 29, 629, 657) and,

2) A 3" barrel

3) FIXED SIGHTS with the appropriate front sight ramp, similar to that found on the NYPD Model 520 and the Model 58 barrels.

Something about an N-frame snubby with fixed sights and the all-business finish of the Highway Patrolman really floats my boat.

In addition to the .357 Magnum caliber, I'd love to see this same gun available in .41 and .44 Magnum.

This is not only a very good idea but one that should be doable for S&W. Hopefully it would not cost something exorbitant.
