That was my first Handgun and i was a dumd *** and sold it 35+ years ago. Now i have 1026, 4506s, 4006s, 657s, and on and on.

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your Model 28, the Highway Patrolman has quite a following on this forum. As fyimo said, we need pictures! Also, the serial number would be located on the bottom of the butt, stamped into the frame. The first letter should be an S, and if you post the first three numbers of the serial number we can help you date it!
