I'm seeing more & more Model 29-2s for sale that state they have a 6" barrel.
My understanding has always been that the 29-3 was the first one to have the 6" (along with the P&R barrel and countersunk cylinder being done away with), and that the 29-2 had 6 1/2" (or 4" or 8 3/8", of course).
I've e-mailed a couple of these sellers to ask them to verify the barrel length, and both have said it is a 6", and it looks like a 6" in the pics, and one of the pics also shows the 29-2 stamping.
The online version of the Blue Book of Gun Values says nothing about this, which was very disappointing to me.
Have I had the wrong idea all long?!
Thanks!
