Can anyone help me with the date?

Hi, welcome here. If your serial number is complete, the SCSW says 1969-1972 Closer from 1971 I guess...

Patrick....based on the serial number, I would estimate your 29-2 was shipped in 1973.

Hello Doc44. I am very interested in why you find such a difference ? The only way here in France to try to estimate a DOB is the SCSW. How come a SN under the 100,000 could indicate 1973 (only between 100,000 and 199,999, if I read my Supica) ?

Philblack...My information is based on shipping dates I have for 29-2s in my collection or know about. The SCSW is a valuable reference, but general in nature when it comes to serial numbers and shipping dates.

Model 29-2s in the N100000 range were generally shipped in 1974 (again, based on actual data).
