Hi folks, recently saw others asking about values. I have been approached about a set and would appreciate any help on placing a value on these as a group: All model 29-2s blue in 97+ condition, target trigger hammer and grips. (date of manufacturer).
10-5/8 s/n AHU78xx (1985) picked this up & can only see in sunlight a little lighter bluing from prior shooter using a rest. Believe this is the silhouette gun; has turn dial on front site to change elevation.

8-3/8 s/n N4253xx (1978) recessed & pinned

6-1/2 s/n N1255xx (1972) NIB recessed & pinned slight turn ring with wooden display box and tools

6 s/n N6422xx (1980) recessed & pinned

4 s/n N1401xx (1972) recessed & pinned with display box with red replacement liner

It took me long time to get this set so I really don't want to break them up that's why asking about value as a group. Thanks

You have five basically unrelated revolvers, other than they are all 29-2's. Different configurations and dates of manufacture.

I'd think you would be better off selling them seperately than as a group.

Hi FN Thanks for info.

I've been out of this quite a while as they have sat in safe for years. Could you or some of more knowledgeable folks out there help me with values to place on these items. Thanks again

It depends on your location and how you plan on selling them because if you take them to a gun shop or pawn shop you will get about half of what they are worth. The best way to determeine value is become a member of Gun broker as it's free. Then do a search on your model 29-2 and then there is a pull down called advanced search and you can search completed auctions and only look at the ones that sold. Check the condition and what grips and any accesories they have and you will see what they are selling for.

My guess without checking on pricing for your revolvers but based on the ones I hnave bought is this.

29-2 with 10 5/8 barrel and adjustable front sight $750 to $850
29-2 with 8 3/8 inch barrel $750
29-2 with 6.5 inch barrel NIB $900 to $1000 with presentation case & tools
29-2 with 6 inch barrel $550 to $650
29-2 with 4 inch barrel $750 to $850

Thank you Mr. FYIMO. Appreciate your help. Take care

Hi Curtis, It took me a magnifying glass, but you are 100% correct it is a 29-3. Thanks so much.
