Guns that I have used in competition and killed varmints with I call
my Warriors. This 29-2 was used in some IPSC matches in the 1970's
when it was just getting started. Also bumped off several groundhogs
as well. Different grips with skateboard tape and smoothed trigger and
good to go. Load was cast 245 grain Keith (429241) at about
800 to 900 fps.

I like your working gun but I need to correct your statement concerning IDPA start date. IDPA was created in the mid-1990s by Bill Wilson, Ken Hackathorn and a few others. IPSC was created in the 1970s by a group of action shooters who wanted to create a common set of rules for action shooting. USPSA came to life a few years later for any number of reasons.

YOU ARE SOOOOO RIGHT. Brain fade. It certainly was IPSC! We had
one of the first clubs to shoot this in the 1970's in Roanoke Va. I will
correct my post. Thank you. Jim
