Hello all, and Happy New Year!

I wonder if I might tap into the experience of this group for a moment. I have come into possession of a very pretty Model 29-3 with a four-inch barrel, nickel finish, and original N-frame target stocks.

It came to me in a wooden presentation case, but not the felt-lined one I remember from years ago. This case has a blue plastic insert for the gun and tools instead, but it is nice looking nonetheless. No papers came with the gun, which came from a pawn shop. I traded a plastic abomination which shall remain nameless for the revolver.

The gun had been fired when I got it, but not a lot, and I've put a box of very light Specials through it and it shot fine. I'd consider this a very nice shooter grade Model 29 and I like it, but I now have a Model 28 that I shoot more. I'm considering passing this 29 on to someone who will give it a good home, since health issues are allowing me to shoot less and less these days.

Could you guys give me some idea of what a fair price for it would be? I looked at some prices online but they seem insane to me. To be honest, I'm more concerned with where it goes than in wringing the last buck out of it. Input is much appreciated.

It seems like model 29s see a lot of regional variance in price to me.

I do not really know what to tell you. But I think that a thousand bucks would be a fair price for that gun. I certainly would not take less and in some markets it would bring quite a bit more.

Thanks CharlieFoxtrot

Appreciate the input. I'd be tickled pink to get that much for it, I was thinking a bit less. Cheers!

On gun broker you always pay top dollar but many do not sell with high asking price unless someone just has to have it
