Model 29-3 Price check?

I have a chance to either buy or trade for a nice condition blued Smith model 29-3 with a 4" barrel. Gun is in excellent condition with just a smal amount of bluing loss on the edge of the barrel and a slight turn line. Other than that it's been well taken care of. Anyway I was curious as to what these are going for out there. I want to offer my friend a a fair price or trade value. Any info would be appreciated.

I bought a 29-3 4" nickel in nice shape. TT, TH, and smooth smith grips but no box or papers for $550. last weekend. Thought I got a good deal.

Sound like you got a real deal Chop, but I'm a little green on gun prices. I bought a 29-3, nickel, 6" barrel, mint condition. Showed very little signs of being fired. Barely a turn line. $750.00. May have overpaid a few $$, but it was worth it to me. Threw some pearl grips on her & made her a show peice. Wouldn't take $1K for her.........Catdaddy

I just put a 29-3 6" barrel blued TT, TH and stock wood grips with nice padded case on layaway for $559.00. Can't wait to pick it up, it's in Very good condition.
