Good evening forum peeps. I picked up this engraved 29-3 today and was hoping somebody could give me some info on the engraver. I assume RKMesa or one of the other experts will have some info. I added the Culina grips. Thanks for any insight you have.

Nice, I like it. I think we can conclude that it is not factory as the logo is missing. Have you checked under the stocks and thumb piece (and everywhere else) for an engraver's name/initials/mark? Sometimes those are well hidden and worked in to the engraving design. I very much like the stocks, birds eye maple?

It is pretty hard to tell who engraved a gun without an engraver's mark or some other clues. Someone may recognize the style and RKmesa more likely than most of us. The only one I have that has engraved animal motifs somewhat like yours is a 29-2 by Lance Kelly which, perhaps not surprisingly, came by way of RKmesa. The engraving style isn't exactly the same but Kelly did many with animals in the engraving so I'll show it for comparison.

Are those factory presentation Magna grips or maybe Culina? They are striking.
