Model 29 Question

Could somebody please tell me whether the original Model 29 was released with a polished or unpolished finish?

The 29 was released as the top of the line, super deluxe, best ever S&W revolver, in a lined,fitted case. It was the best bluing that S&W could put on a revolver, highly polished. Bob!!!
